CGC Jhanjeri Campus Organized 7th Annual Sports Meet 2022

Mohali, April 4, 2022: Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri Campus organized 7th Annual Sports Day at its campus. The sports meet was inaugurated by President Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, & Manoj Kumar, a popular Boxer, Artist, Motivational Speaker, 2 times Olympian, Double Medalist Common Wealth Games & Arjuna Awardee. The guest of honor at the moment was Navjeet Kaur Dhillon, the amazing Discus Throw player, winner of Common Wealth Bronze Medal, Maharaja Ranjit Singh Awardee & Income Tax Inspector.

Athletic events included track events and activities like race, high jump, obstacle race, javelin throw, long jump, discuss throw, shot put and tug of war. The players showed commitment, dedication, discipline, and impressive performances. It was spectacular to watch the marathon rally led by group leaders.

Hidayatulla student of BAJMC won 100-meter Race Boys whereas 100 Meter Race Girls was won by Gurpreet student of BA LLB. The winner of 200 meter Boys was Suraj Kumar student of M. Com and 200 meter Girls was won by Taniyan student of CSE.400 Meter Boys won by Ankur the student of M.Tech whereas 400 meter Girls won by Jawinder Kaur student of BCA. Akhil of CSE won Shot Put in Boys and Kavita of Fashion designing in girls. The winner of High jump was Ankur the student of M.Tech in boys and Nikita Fashion in girls. Javelin Throw Girls was won by Divya the student of BALLB. The winner of Discus Throw in Boys was Dinesh student of BALLB and Discuss Throw Girls was won by Kavita student of fashion designing.

Ankur from ME Semester 6th and Gaurpreet Semester 2nd from LLB were declared best thletes and overall trophy winners were Chandigarh School of Business and Runner Up team was the Chandigarh Engineering College.
