Investors awareness program held at Chandigarh University
1 min readMohali, May 8, 2023: An investor awareness program was organised here today in the Department of Commerce, Chandigarh University. The program was organised by Citizens Awareness Group in collaboration with Securities Market Trainer.
Surinder Verma, Chairman of Citizens Awareness Group, gave a detailed insight into creating wealth from stock markets through the latest technological advancements. He spoke about how mobile apps have become popular in trading and stressed the challenges of adopting technology and how to overcome them. He also brought to the fore the risks technology poses, like data thefts, glitches, etc., that cause losses, but the right use of technology can bring long-term gains.
Tejinder Singh, Securities Market Trainer, stressed how financial literacy can help us achieve our future goals. He talked about several investment options available to us, but most of us invested in bank fixed deposits. He added that there are other options as well, including ETFs, small cases, and gold mutual funds.
Dr. Nitin Pathak, Head of the Department, Department of Commerce, stressed the importance of financial literacy. India is home to the world’s largest youth population, and the increased financial literacy among the youth is very conducive to the financial well-being of the country.
