AAP’s hunger strike continues for seventh day

Chandigarh, 10 February 2024: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) continued it’s hunger strike today too, which has entered 7th day today. AAP is continuously organising hunger relay protest at Municipal Corporation office Sector 17, Chandigarh against the result of elections of Mayor, Senior Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayor for Chandigarh Municipal Corporation on 30 January. A protest is being held against the cancellation of 8 votes of the AAP party’s mayoral candidate Kuldeep Kumar. Today the hunger strike was observed by Councilor Neha Mushawat, Advocate Heera Lal Kundra, Advocate Ravi Maini, Lucky and Mandeep Kalra. Apart from senior AAP leaders PP Ghai, Vijaypal, Meena Sharma, Abha Bansal, Sukhraj Sandhu, councilor Suman Sharma, Jaswinder Kaur and Prem Lata, a large number of volunteers also participated in this hunger strike.

Speaking on this occasion, AAP Councilor Neha Musawat said that until an FIR is registered against BJP’s nominated councilor and presiding officer Anil Masih and he is not arrested and the fake mayor appointed by BJP in the Municipal Corporation is not removed from the chair, this hunger strike will continue and said that BJP has been committing fraud in the Municipal Corporation since the beginning, but now everything has come to light through cctv footage and demanded a strict action should be taken against everyone including the BJP councilor, so that no one can make fun of democracy in future.

Speaking on the occasion, Councilor Jaswinder Kaur said that the manner in which democracy was murdered as part of a conspiracy hatched by the BJP on January 30 is being condemned in the entire country and said that all BJP councilors including MP Kirron Kher and Anil Masih are involved in this conspiracy and demands, an action should be taken against all of them as soon as possible and they should be sent behind bars.

Chairman Punjab Water Supply and Sewerage Board, and Co-Inchrge AAP Chandigarh Dr. SS Ahluwalia said that the politics of fraud is being practiced by BJP in the entire country, and added that this has now been revealed to the whole country by the way 8 votes were canceled to made invalid by Anil Masih using pen is captured on camera on the day of Municipal Corporation elections.

Dr. Ahluwalia said now the people of the country have become aware of the fraudulent politics of BJP and said that in the coming days, the Mayor of Chandigarh will be from Aam Aadmi Party and the people of the country will oust BJP from power in the upcoming Sabha elections too.
