Nexus Elante Celebrates Freedom with life-size Statue of Unity

Chandigarh, August 14, 2024: Nexus Elante Mall has come up with a life-size replica of Statue of Unity, a monumental tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India at the mall atrium.

Standing as the world’s tallest statue, it symbolises his leadership in uniting over 500 princely states into a unified India. This engineering marvel celebrates not only Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s pivotal role in history but also embodies the spirit of India’s unbreakable unity.

Every year, Nexus Elante honours India’s Freedom Fighters by selecting one iconic figure to celebrate on Independence Day through a larger-than-life installation in new forms and styles. Past installations have included grand tributes such as the Gyarah Murti and Subhash Chandra Bose’s army.

These exhibits are part of a series that also features photographs, stories, and artifacts showcasing the bravery and sacrifices of those who fought for India’s independence. This annual celebration provides an educational and inspiring experience, allowing one to connect deeply with the nation’s rich history and the enduring legacy of its heroes.
