TiE Chandigarh holds session on women entrepreneurship
3 min readMohali, Aug 22, 2024: On the occasion of World Entrepreneurship Day, Chandigarh chapter of the TiE organised an immersive women-centric mega session at a hotel here. The first of its kind women-centric event held in the region by far, the idea behind the mega show was aimed at celebrating the soaring spirits of women entrepreneurs associated with the TiE and other organizations, venturing out of their conventional mould.
Puneet Verma, Vice-President, TiE Chandigarh and founder of Cybrain Software Solutions and Satish Kumar Arora (Co-Founder, AppSmartz) President of TiE Chandigarh, while speaking on the occasion said they were optimistic about the initiative offering women a window of opportunities to become self-sufficient and contribute to the integrated growth of the country.
This landmark event, hosted by the Chandigarh chapter of the TiE, highlighted the incredible achievements of women in every sphere, making inroads into the hitherto male bastion. A queer mix of culture, education, entertainment, empowerment, and networking, all rolled into one, the event attracted hundreds of new and old members associated with TiE and others, who rooted for the women-centric initiatives, offering them enough space for their holistic growth, economically and otherwise.
An engaging panel discussion on the regional women entrepreneurship associated with the TiE, featuring Bharti Sood, Chandandeep Kaur, Harnoor Kaur, moderated by Prerna Kalra, was held on the occasion, where TiE members shared their expert views on scripting success stories in their respective business ventures, offering gravitas for the fledgling startups, caught up in the ‘to do or not to do?’ syndrome.
Ritika Singh, Founder Kontent Factory and Past General Secretary TiE Chandigarh delivered the keynote address. TiE Chandigarh Women office bearers Isha Taneja: Chair; Shaira Kansal: Co Chair and Ekta Gupta: Co-Chair conceptualized and organised the whole event.
The event brought a wave of innovative experience and expertise in the women-driven business ventures, from the level of innovative startups to established enterprises, making stupendous strides.
The occasion offered a wholesome idea to new entrants and others a chance to explore new products, ramp up services, and ideas that are of paramount importance to essential to reshaping industries, to give a push to the idea of women empowerment. The new entrants to the session were inspired by the inspirational stories that women entrepreneur scripted with grit and determination. They also shared how to take on the potential challenges coming their ways and move on to achieve huge success in the chosen field.
The event packed with the stories of grit and resilience offered a window of opportunities for the young and aspirational startups and others to chase their entrepreneurial dreams and make a mark in the respective field.
